In their new blog, @CindyBVeldhuis, @lizstuartdc, and @FallinDani of @ColumbiaNursing and @JohnsHopkinsSPH argue that #MentalHealth demands a complete #PublicHealth #COVID strategy, including universal screenings, anti-stigma campaigns and an equity focus.

Another useful thread summarizing current science around school reopenings.
I also posit we need to be thoughtful about language: reopening is not a binary decision. It can be partial, and what also really matters is HOW a school "reopens" and what protections are put in place.

Good morning America! You all seem thrilled about Biden’s moon rock. Its symbolism, of the scientific and exploratory achievements that have been made – and will ideally soon be surpassed – certainly hits home.
What you might not know is that rock has an *epic* backstory. 1/x
There's a moon rock in the White House. The trip across the Mall was the shortest journey for this space traveler who was collected during the Apollo 17 moon landing. A fascinating thread about this unassuming memento and what it means and symbolizes.

Moderna vaccine protects against British and South African variants, company says
Amid hesitancy among racial and ethnic groups about vaccine safety, medical schools and university hospitals turn to community partners, trusted minority leaders, and media platforms to explain the science behind the shots.
A9: Having vaccines against COVID-19 is an extraordinary accomplishment of science and is a true ray of hope for a COVID-free future. There's a long way to go, but with each dose we get closer.
